Christ Covenant School, in following a covenant approach to admissions, has been established to serve Christian families in the education of their covenant children. Therefore, at least one parent of each student must accept, know, love, and follow Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and must be able to testify accordingly. Students of Christ Covenant School will receive instruction in the Christian faith, including instruction in the Bible. The school will teach its students a biblical world and life view, by which the school itself will endeavor to be guided in all its programs and activities.

Requirements of Admission to CCS include:

At least one parent must profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and be able to give testimony to it
At least one parent must be a member in good standing of a local church and provide a pastoral letter of reference
At least one parent must be in agreement with our Statement of Faith
The student's academic success and behavioral good standing from the former school(s) must be evident
Admission testing must indicate potential success in our academic environment

Application Process

The admissions process begins with an application for each student and requires a $75 non-refundable application fee for each applicant. Once the application for admission is processed, the student academic interview and parent faith interview follow. CCS conducts placement testing for all prospective students in Kindergarten - 8th grade to help determine those students who have a reasonable expectation of success in our program.

Contracts

There is a once per year enrollment or contract fee for each student which must accompany a signed contract in order for the student’s place to be secured. On or before February 1, 2016, the contract fee is $400. After February 1, 2016, the contract fee is $525. Parents enter into a binding contract with Christ Covenant School for each school year which clearly states the tuition agreement. Because CCS also makes financial commitments in the form of contracts to our faculty based on the number of students enrolled and orders curriculum for each child one year at a time, these contracts remain binding agreements. Contract fees are not refundable, with the sole exception of the waiting pool as described below. It should be noted that cumulative records or letters of good standing cannot be sent on delinquent accounts. Applicable tuition or fees paid in advance of withdrawal are non refundable.

Waiting Pool

A waiting pool is in place for grades that are full. To be put in the waiting pool, the admissions procedures through contract and contract fee must be completed. Should you withdraw a student’s name from the pool before a place becomes available, contract fees will be returned. Should a place become available and it is declined, fees are nonrefundable. If a place is not secured, the contract and contract fee may be rolled over to the next year.

Admission Ages

Students admitted to P3 must be three years of age before September 1st. Students admitted to P4 must be four years old by September 1st. Students admitted to five year old kindergarten must be five years old before September 1st. Students admitted to first grade must be six years old by September 1st and so forth.

Admissions Policy

Christ Covenant School admits students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admissions policies and school administered programs. Central to the mission of Christ Covenant School is a partnership with the home so that children will be equipped to love the Lord, to think biblically, and to glorify God in every area of life. On occasion, the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home may be in opposition to the biblical lifestyle the school teaches. This includes, but is not limited to: sexual immorality, homosexual orientation, or inability to support the moral principles of the school. In such cases, the school reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student.

The admissions process begins with an application for each student and requires a $75 non-refundable application fee for each applicant.  Once the application for  admission is processed, the student academic interview and parent faith  interviews follow.  CCS conducts placement testing for all prospective students in K through 8th grade to help determine those students who have a reasonable expectation of success in our program.
