CCS Cares -- Ministries to the CCS Community

Ongoing Ministry Opportunities supporting CCS Families and Staff

During the months of August & September, CCS will be collecting supplies for the Madison County DHS. Unfortunately, the Madison County DHS relocates approximately 20 children each month due to unsafe living environments or pending investigations. Most of these children are removed with few, if any, of their belongings. We are inviting our school community to respond to this need by donating supplies for them to keep on-hand to assist children during their transition. Items being collected are a Children's Bible (Jesus Storybook Bible), gently used or new small suitcases/backpacks, and the following hygiene items: toothpaste, dental floss, soap/body wash, shampoo/conditioner, hairbrush/comb/pick, hair items for girls (rubber bands, clips, headbands), lotion, and facial wash for teens. A collection bin will be in the foyer of the gym through September.  Contact Katie Files with any questions.

The arrangements for Rick Pride are as follows:
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, with a service at 3:00 p.m. at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Please pray for his wife, Mary Jo, daughters, Aimee and Claire, as well as extended family and our own Promise Kids classroom in this season.
