Special Needs Admission Guidelines

The Promise Kids program at Christ Covenant School serves a small number of students with Down Syndrome. Within the framework of a loving, Christ-centered environment, our goal is to partner with parents to help our “Promise Kids” reach their potential. Promise Kids enjoy individualized instruction in math, language arts, and handwriting in their classroom, along with the opportunity for some participation in the regular classroom. They are involved in music, art, physical education, Bible, and much more. It is quite an exciting educational adventure, all from a foundational Christian worldview.
We understand that parents interested in Promise Kids may desire to start this process earlier due to limited space and limited programs in the community. You may call to schedule a tour of the Promise Kids Program, or to speak with our Admission Director. Applications may be submitted and processed at age three, or two years before kindergarten is anticipated. The application process includes an evaluation time with our Director and final acceptance to the program is determined at age four, or the spring before the child begins kindergarten.
Please be sure to review the Admission Process on this website. This process includes a personal tour, application, evaluation, and interview. Contact the school office at 601.978.2272 to make an appointment or to ask questions about our Promise Kids program. Tuition and fees for Promise Kids students are those listed in the K-8 Financial Information.
We pray regularly for those students and families whom God will bring to the Promise Kids program at CCS. We look forward to all the Lord has in store as we all work together to accomplish our mission in the lives of children with special needs.
